Appliance Warehouse offers FREE freon removal and disposal for appliances you bring to them.  No appointment necessary, they are open from 9-5, Monday thru Saturday. Someone can help you unload once you get there.  They also do onsite freon removal for a small fee.

Goodwill makes it so easy to donate. There are boxes and drop off centers everywhere. You can get a receipt for taxes too. Goodwill Computer Center and Kil-A-Byte data destruction services are top notch.

Most public libraries have used book sales, either annually or ongoing. They are usually run by a friends group and survive on donations and volunteers.  Librarians are helpful!  Just call or email - and they will give you lots of resources for all the books and items you want to donate!.

You can schedule pick up of many household items, furniture and appliances.  This group turns your donations into dollars to help many organizations in Pittsburgh for example they provide Children's Playrooms at local Court Houses.  They are affiliated with Thriftique, DDB and Designer Days and Book Drive
